The middle-order hitter Haris Sohail experienced a blow when he collided with teammate Shadab Khan during fielding practise, inflicting a shoulder injury. Haris Sohail, who had recently been sidelined from the team owing to fitness concerns but was scheduled to return in the forthcoming One Day International against New Zealand, is hurt by this.

Sohail will not play in the first ODI due to shoulder soreness, despite the fact that X-rays revealed no fractures. He has been recommended to rest by the team doctor and physiotherapist.

Shan Masood also had a finger injury during fielding practise, but the results of his X-ray were negative, and he is anticipated to be available for the following game. According to rumours, young batsman Abdullah Shafique might take Haris Sohail’s position in the opening ODI.

The team’s preparations for the first ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium have been complicated by the injuries to Haris Sohail and Shan Masood.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
