President Asif Ali Zardari Meets PPP Leaders and Ticket Holders from Attock in Lahore
President Asif Ali Zardari met with a delegation of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders and ticket holders from Attock, led by Punjab Governor Salim Haider, at the Governor House in Lahore.
During the meeting, President Zardari emphasized the PPP’s enduring role in Pakistan’s political landscape, stating, “If there is a Pakistan, then all political parties exist. The PPP has always made sacrifices for the country and for democracy.”

Recalling times of heightened tension with India, he highlighted the PPP’s unwavering support for the armed forces, which contributed to India’s eventual retreat. He also reaffirmed the party’s commitment to representing laborers, working-class citizens, government employees, and marginalized communities.
Governor Salim Haider praised PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto as “the people’s choice” and predicted he would become the country’s next young prime minister.
The delegation also invited President Zardari to visit Attock to further engage with local supporters.
