President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Lahore on Thursday, where he was expected to hold a significant meeting with Nawaz Sharif, the head of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), to address the challenges faced by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Punjab.

Sources indicated that the meeting was intended to facilitate in-depth discussions to resolve these issues. Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider was also expected to be in attendance. Insiders mentioned that the meeting might result in key decisions to tackle the PPP’s concerns in the province. Additionally, President Zardari was slated to meet with central Punjab leaders to deliberate on party affairs and regional matters.
