ISLAMABAD — President Asif Ali Zardari joined the 35th National Day celebrations of the Russian Federation in Islamabad, signaling a deepening of ties between Pakistan and Russia in an atmosphere of diplomatic goodwill and cultural exchange.

Hosted by the Russian Embassy, the event brought together diplomats, top government officials, and key figures from various sectors. President Zardari extended greetings to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the people of Russia, underlining the shared values and growing mutual respect between the two nations.

In his remarks, President Zardari emphasized the strengthening bilateral relationship, which he credited to increasing high-level engagements and collaboration in areas ranging from security to economic development. “Pakistan is proud to celebrate this important occasion with Russia,” he said, adding that recent diplomatic contacts have paved the way for more robust ties.
