President And PM Urge Nation To Follow Iqbal's Wisdom

Islamabad – President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar have expressed their deep admiration for Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal on the occasion of his 146th birth anniversary.

In their respective statements, they emphasized that Dr. Allama Iqbal was a significant benefactor to the Muslims of the subcontinent, as he envisaged the concept of a separate homeland for them, ultimately turning his vision into a reality.

President Alvi, in his message, hailed Iqbal as a profound thinker who infused in Muslims the essence of unity through his writings and poetry. He stressed the importance of following Allama Iqbal’s teachings on Islam and his philosophy of “Khudi,” which advocates the promotion of self-respect and human dignity as a means to transform Pakistan into a prosperous nation.

On Iqbal Day, Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar highlighted Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s role in raising the awareness of the subcontinent’s Muslims about their fundamental rights, fostering a sense of unity among them. He emphasized that Iqbal’s philosophy of Khudi presents a distinctive path for humanity to attain success in this world and the hereafter. The Prime Minister also underscored Iqbal’s dream of Pakistan as a nation of peace, political tolerance, and fraternity.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister encouraged the youth to play a vital role in the country’s service and development by embracing a positive and progressive mindset, in line with Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s vision.

Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Murtaza Solangi, described Allama Iqbal’s philosophy and ideas as a guiding light for humanity. He underlined Iqbal’s message of ‘Khudi,’ which empowers the younger generation to create their own destiny rather than relying on others. Iqbal’s efforts to awaken Muslims to their true identity were also recognized, and his universal teachings were cited as a solution to the multifaceted challenges facing society today.
