Punjab Public Service Commission Exams Postponed Due To Floods

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has postponed its written exams scheduled for August 30 and 31, 2025. The decision follows heavy flooding across Punjab, which has disrupted travel and displaced thousands of people.

The floods have made it difficult for many candidates to reach their exam centers safely. PPSC officials said holding the exams during this emergency would be unfair and unsafe for candidates. The affected exams include recruitment for Punjab Police and other provincial departments.

This postponement was announced after a meeting chaired by PPSC Chairman Lieutenant General (Retd.) Muhammad Abdul Aziz. Other senior officials, including the Secretary and Members of the Commission, supported the decision.

New dates for the exams will be announced soon once the flood situation improves. Candidates will be informed about the revised schedule via official PPSC channels. These include SMS alerts, emails, the Commission’s website, and verified social media accounts.

Punjab is currently facing severe floods that have damaged infrastructure and forced school closures in many districts. These disruptions have also affected government activities, including exam schedules.

The Punjab Public Service Commission reassured candidates that their safety and fairness in the exams are a top priority. Authorities are closely monitoring the flood situation and will ensure exams are conducted when conditions are safe.

The government is working to help flood victims and restore normal life across Punjab. Meanwhile, PPSC urges can
didates to stay updated through official communication to avoid missing any announcements regarding exams.
