A 5.3-magnitude earthquake hit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday, causing tremors across multiple cities. Residents in Nowshera, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Malakand, Kohat, Buner, and Swat reported feeling the quake. The epicenter was in the Hindukush region along the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, at a depth of 220 kilometers.

Tremors were also felt in areas such as Mingora in Swat and Landikotal in Khyber, as well as in India-held Kashmir, including Srinagar. There have been no immediate reports of injuries or significant property damage. However, local authorities remain on high alert, monitoring for potential aftershocks or additional seismic activity.
