MIANWALI – A terrorist attack on Chhapri Police Station in Mianwali was thwarted by Punjab police, resulting in the elimination of four militants.
According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, over 20 heavily armed terrorists targeted the station near the interprovincial border with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in Isa Khel Circle. The attackers used rocket launchers and grenades, but the police countered effectively, preventing significant damage.

Despite the heavy exchange of fire, all police personnel escaped unharmed except for two officers who sustained minor injuries. Senior officials, including District Police Officer Akhtar Farooq, arrived at the site shortly after the incident.
Punjab IGP Dr. Usman Anwar commended the Mianwali police for their bravery and reaffirmed the force’s commitment to combating terrorism and maintaining peace.
