A police officer has been taken into custody for allegedly abusing and torturing child beggars in Islamabad.
Sub-Inspector Sahib Pasha of Thana Shams Colony was reportedly accused of mistreating two child beggars, ages 12 and 11, according to media reports.

Pasha is accused of illegally holding the children for two days without documenting the incident in police records. He allegedly assaulted them with shoes and sticks. According to police sources, patrolling officers caught Pasha in the act while he was abusing the children in his car.
A case has been filed against him at Karachi Company Police Station, confirmed DIG Ali Raza.
