Police have registered a case against TikToker Mr Patlo and several associates following a stampede at his mehndi ceremony in Daska, Sialkot, where a large crowd gathered after announcements of prize giveaways, including motorcycles and a car.
The incident took place at Faraz Cricket Ground on Daska Road, where thousands of people reportedly arrived to attend the wedding function and participate in the planned prize distribution. The rush began when the venue’s gates were opened, triggering pushing and shoving among people attempting to enter.
According to Samaa’s latest report, the death toll has risen to two after an injured attendee died in hospital. The report also states that at least 18 people were injured.
However, other reports published on November 1, citing police and rescue officials, continued to report one confirmed death and 18 injured. The casualty figures therefore require further official confirmation. <Cite refs={[“turn487376view0″,”turn153709search0″,”turn604723search5”]}/>
Police Register Case Against Mr Patlo and Associates
Police have registered a case at Motra Police Station against nine nominated suspects, including TikToker Mr Patlo and several people allegedly involved in organising the event.
According to police information reported by Dunya News, the FIR also includes between 40 and 45 unidentified individuals, including security personnel. Six suspects have been arrested, while police are continuing efforts to apprehend the remaining individuals.
The case concerns alleged negligence, inadequate crowd management and violations of safety procedures and conditions attached to permission for the event.
Police are investigating the organisers’ arrangements and their role in allowing a large gathering to assemble without sufficient crowd-control measures.

Prize Announcements Attract Thousands to the Mehndi
The large gathering followed an open invitation issued by the TikToker, who had encouraged members of the public to attend his mehndi ceremony.
Several attractive prizes were announced ahead of the event, reportedly including 50 motorcycles and a car. The programme also featured announcements of cash prizes worth Rs50,000 and financial assistance towards the dowries of 20 orphaned girls.
These announcements attracted a significant number of people from Daska and surrounding areas. Reports also indicated that visitors travelled from different parts of Punjab to attend the ceremony and participate in the prize draw.
The turnout reportedly exceeded the arrangements made at the venue. Large numbers of people gathered outside the stadium while the entrance remained closed.
The situation became increasingly difficult to manage as more attendees arrived, creating pressure around the entrance gates.
Stampede Breaks Out as Stadium Gates Open
According to reports, the stampede occurred when the organisers opened the stadium gates to allow the waiting crowd inside.
As people attempted to enter simultaneously, pushing and shoving broke out. Several attendees reportedly fell to the ground, while others were caught in the crowd and injured.
The incident quickly turned the wedding celebration into an emergency, with people attempting to help those trapped or injured.
Police and Rescue 1122 teams reached the venue after receiving information about the incident. The injured were transported to Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital in Sialkot for medical treatment.
Dawn reported that Rescue 1122 had not been informed in advance about the large gathering. Rescue officials said four ambulances and one motorcycle ambulance took part in the operation.
Some attendees also reportedly transported injured people to nearby private hospitals and clinics before emergency teams arrived. <Cite refs={[“turn153709view0″,”turn487376view0”]}/>
FIR Raises Questions About Security Arrangements
The police case reportedly names Mr Patlo, Kashif, Malik Faraz and Shahid Javed, along with other individuals and security personnel.
The FIR alleges that the event organisers failed to follow the required standard operating procedures and did not make adequate arrangements to control the crowd.
It also includes allegations that armed security guards assaulted some attendees with sticks and batons during the chaos. These allegations will form part of the police investigation and have not been established as proven facts.
Police are examining how the gathering was organised, whether the required safety arrangements were in place and what happened when the stadium gates were opened.
The investigation is also expected to assess the responsibilities of the organisers and security personnel who were assigned to manage the event.
Six Suspects Arrested as Investigation Continues
Police have confirmed the arrest of six suspects in connection with the stampede, while raids and other efforts are underway to locate the remaining individuals named in the case.
The FIR was registered at Motra Police Station, and investigators are examining the alleged violations of safety procedures and event-permission conditions.
Sialkot District Police Officer Captain (retd) Dost Muhammad said those responsible for putting citizens’ lives at risk would be brought before the law. He also stressed that negligence in security arrangements at public gatherings would not be tolerated.
The authorities have indicated that further legal action will depend on the findings of the investigation.
Questions Over Crowd Management at Public Events
The tragedy has drawn attention to the importance of proper crowd management at public gatherings, particularly events promoted through social media that can attract large numbers of visitors within a short period.
Organisers of large ceremonies and public events need to make suitable arrangements for entry and exit points, crowd capacity, emergency access and security personnel.
Opening venue gates without controlling the number of people waiting outside can create dangerous conditions, especially when attendees are competing to enter at the same time.
The Daska incident has also raised questions about how event permissions are monitored and whether the arrangements made by organisers match the expected turnout.
As police continue their investigation, authorities will need to establish the circumstances that led to the stampede and determine whether failures in planning or crowd control contributed to the casualties.
The case against Mr Patlo and his associates remains under investigation, while the six arrests mark the first major police action following the incident.
