Pakistan Muslim League (N) Senator Irfan Siddiqui has died following a brief illness.
His son, Imran Siddiqui, confirmed the news, posting on his father’s social media account: “Senator Irfan Siddiqui has passed away.” He described his father as a teacher and a symbol of love, expressing deep sorrow and praying for the elevation of his father’s soul. Imran added that the burial will take place at the H-11 graveyard.
Political leaders, including the President, Prime Minister, Interior Minister, and senior PML-N figures such as Nawaz Sharif, as well as other officials, conveyed their condolences, noting that Siddiqui’s death leaves a significant void in the country’s political landscape.
Reports had surfaced a day earlier that Senator Irfan Siddiqui was hospitalized due to illness and had been placed on a ventilator before his passing.
