According to an official notification:

  • MBBS programs will now accept students with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • BDS programs have had their merit reduced to 45%.

Colleges have been ordered to complete the admission process within three days.

The PMDC emphasized that this is a one-time relaxation and applies only to the ongoing academic session. The move aims to ensure that medical seats do not go unutilized due to the previously higher merit criteria.
