PMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall Across Pakistan

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast a new spell of rain affecting various parts of the country, beginning today. The weather system is expected to bring widespread showers and changing conditions across multiple regions over the coming days.

According to the department, several major cities in Punjab are likely to receive rainfall, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sialkot, Multan, and Faisalabad. In addition, districts such as Kasur, Okara, Narowal, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Rahim Yar Khan are also expected to experience rain during this period.

Weather activity will not be limited to Punjab alone. Parts of Balochistan are also likely to be affected by rain-bearing clouds. The current wet spell is expected to persist across the country until March 30, bringing fluctuating weather conditions.

The PMD further indicated that several areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may face strong winds and thunderstorms over the next two days. The intensity of rainfall is expected to increase between March 28 and 30, raising the chances of severe weather in some المناطق.

In northern regions such as Gilgit-Baltistan, snowfall is predicted, while certain parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could also experience hailstorms.

Meanwhile, rain is also forecast for Sindh, including cities like Karachi, Sukkur, Dadu, LarkanaJacobabad
