PM Shehbaz's UN Address Becomes Most Viewed on Official UN Channel

The United Nations’ Center for Public Opinion Research has released new data showing that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s speech at the UN General Assembly has become the most-watched address on the UN’s official YouTube channel from the latest session. His speech garnered 137,000 views, making him the most-viewed global leader, surpassing prominent figures such as U.S. President Joe Biden with 101,000 views, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi with 81,000 views, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, both of whom had 51,000 views.

On Al Jazeera’s TikTok account, Sharif’s speech attracted 1.6 million views, significantly more than Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address, which received 300,000 views.

In his address, PM Shehbaz Sharif focused on advocating for the Palestinian cause and raising awareness about the situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir.
