He highlighted the achievements of his administration during its 16-month tenure, including the addition of 5,000 megawatts of energy to the national grid and the impressive performance of the Pakistan Stock Exchange index. He also noted the challenges the country faced and the transformative decisions his government made to address them.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif contrasted his administration’s approach with that of the previous government, criticizing their disregard for agreements with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He likened his government’s decisions to painful but necessary chemotherapy for the country’s healing.

He expressed concern over the orchestrated destruction of memorials and public assets, implicating the leadership of the former ruling party in the chaos. He congratulated the new caretaker prime minister, Anwaarul Haq Kakar, and expressed hope that he would ensure free, fair, and transparent elections in Pakistan.
