Passport counters at NADRA centres

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) centres will now have passport counters, per the prime minister’s Wednesday directive. This will make it easier for applicants.

The prime minister claimed, while presiding over a meeting on hassle-free access to passports and computerised national identity cards (CNICs), that the move would not only benefit the general population but would also ease the strain on the national exchequer.

To make the collaboration happen, he has requested NADRA and the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports to pool their resources.

Shehbaz Sharif gave the order to establish counters at the NADRA centres for all previously approved new passport offices.

Additionally, he gave instructions to boost the number of NADRA mobile vans that deliver services to CNIC applicants at their doorstep. The meeting was informed that NADRA would soon be releasing a new consumer-focused mobile phone application for CNIC renewal.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
