PM Shehbaz Sharif Reached New York for 79th UNGA

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in New York to attend the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session. He will deliver a speech on Friday, addressing key international and regional issues like the Kashmir dispute and the situation in Palestine, while reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to global peace and multilateralism.

During his visit, PM Shehbaz will participate in various high-level meetings, including discussions on climate change, rising sea levels, and peace leadership. He will also engage in bilateral talks with global leaders, business councils, and financial institutions to promote Pakistan’s investment-friendly policies.

The prime minister will meet with key figures, including UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, and World Bank and European Commission presidents. A meeting with Palestinian President Mehmood Abbas will focus on strengthening international efforts to end Israeli oppression.

PM Shehbaz will also attend receptions hosted by the Sultan of Brunei and Bangladeshi Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, marking the significant anniversaries of their countries’ UN memberships. His delegation includes several key ministers and advisors from Pakistan.
