Islamabad – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held telephonic conversations with several world leaders to extend Eidul Azha greetings and reinforce Pakistan’s strong fraternal relations with their nations.
The Prime Minister spoke with leaders from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Türkiye, and Kazakhstan, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation in trade, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.
Strengthening Ties with Bosnia and Herzegovina
During his conversation with Dr. Denis Becirovic, Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, PM Sharif conveyed warm Eid wishes to the Bosnian people and expressed prayers for their peace and prosperity. Dr. Becirovic reciprocated the sentiments and thanked Pakistan for its enduring friendship.
The Prime Minister highlighted the deep-rooted fraternal bonds between the two nations and reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to expand cooperation. He also appreciated Bosnia’s support during the recent Pakistan-India tensions and briefed Dr. Becirovic on Islamabad’s efforts to promote regional stability.
PM Sharif invited the Bosnian leader to visit Pakistan, which was gladly accepted. Dr. Becirovic, in turn, extended an invitation for the Prime Minister to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Gratitude for Türkiye’s Unwavering Support
In a separate call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Prime Minister extended Eid greetings and recalled their recent meetings in Istanbul and Lachin. He reiterated Pakistan’s gratitude for Türkiye’s steadfast support during the Pakistan-India crisis.
The discussions underscored the strong strategic partnership between the two brotherly nations, with both leaders reaffirming their commitment to further deepening bilateral ties.
