PM Shehbaz highlighted Pakistan’s backing of Iran at the UN Security Council’s emergency session and described Israel’s actions as a serious threat to both regional and global stability. He also condemned Israel’s ongoing military campaign against Palestinians, urging the global community and the UN to intervene and curb Israeli aggression. Pakistan, he reiterated, remains committed to peace efforts in the region.
President Pezeshkian thanked Pakistan for its solidarity and criticized the US for supporting Israel amid ongoing nuclear talks, calling Washington’s stance dishonest. He warned that any continued Israeli aggression would provoke a stronger response from Iran.
The prime minister also discussed the crisis with President Erdogan, with both leaders condemning Israel’s actions as violations of international law and threats to peace. They called for collective efforts from the international community to address the growing crisis.
