Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his willingness to resume talks with PTI, proposing the creation of a parliamentary committee to advance discussions. Speaking at a federal cabinet meeting, he highlighted that the government had accepted PTI’s offer for talks and set up a committee. Despite agreeing to meet on the 28th, PTI withdrew.
PM Shehbaz emphasized that written demands should be met with written responses, as seen in 2018 when PTI established a House Committee. He urged PTI to engage in discussions and suggested that committees handle inquiries related to the 2018 and 2024 elections to uncover the facts.

He paid tribute to Pakistan Army officers and soldiers martyred in KP, praising their courage. Regarding the State Bank’s 1% policy rate cut, he recommended a minimum 2% reduction to boost business and industrial growth. Additionally, he vowed to combat human trafficking, citing the loss of hundreds of Pakistani lives and pledging strict action against perpetrators.
