PM Shehbaz mourned Iran’s supreme leader’s killing.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has conveyed profound grief and extended condolences on behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan following the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In an official statement, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan stands in full solidarity with the people of Iran during this period of sorrow. He emphasized that the entire Pakistani nation shares the pain of their Iranian brothers and sisters and joins them in mourning the loss of their revered leader. Offering sympathies on behalf of the state and its citizens, he described the incident as a deeply tragic moment for the Muslim world.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also voiced serious concern over what he termed a violation of international law. He stressed that, under globally accepted principles and diplomatic norms, heads of state should not be targeted under any circumstances. He underscored the importance of respecting sovereignty and adhering to established international standards to prevent further instability.

The Prime Minister further stated that special prayers are being offered across Pakistan for the departed leader. He prayed that Allah Almighty grant eternal peace to the soul of Syed Ali Khamenei and provide patience and resilience to the Iranian nation as they cope with this immense loss.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s support, the Prime Minister noted that the bonds between Pakistan and Iran remain strong, particularly in times of hardship. He concluded by expressing hope that peace and stability would prevail in the region and that the people of Iran would find strength and unity in the face of adversity.
