Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday extended his congratulations to the newly appointed interim leader of Bangladesh, Professor Muhammad Yunus, and voiced his aspirations for strengthening the relationship between the two nations.
In a tweet, PM Shehbaz expressed his warm regards, stating, “Heartiest felicitations to Professor Muhammad Yunus. I wish him immense success in steering Bangladesh towards a peaceful and prosperous future. I am eager to collaborate with him to enhance the cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh in the coming days.”

Professor Muhammad Yunus, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate known for his pioneering work in microfinance, has been widely respected for his contributions to economic development in Bangladesh.
The oath-taking ceremony, held yesterday, was conducted by President Mohammed Shahabuddin at the presidential office in Dhaka. Yunus, at 84, assumes the role of “chief adviser” to the transitional government, which is primarily composed of technocrats.
His appointment as interim leader has generated significant attention, with many expecting his leadership to bring stability and progress to the nation.
