The Prime Minister was accompanied by top government officials, including:

  • Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar
  • Defence Minister Khawaja Asif
  • Information Minister Attaullah Tarar
  • Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal

He was received at the base by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, and Corps Commander Sialkot.

During his briefing on operational readiness, PM Shehbaz condemned India’s recent actions, particularly the targeting of civilians — women, children, and the elderly — terming it an “open act of aggression”. He strongly criticized the labeling of innocent Pakistani citizens as terrorists, calling it a violation of international law and basic human ethics.

“Despite our offer to hold transparent investigations, India chose the path of lies and arrogance. Their aggression was met with a resolute and swift response. History will remember how Pakistan neutralized the threat within hours,” said PM Shehbaz.

He also paid tribute to the martyrs of the recent conflict, stating they will forever be a source of national pride.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Pakistan Air Force and Navy bases in the coming days to continue assessing the military’s operational readiness. His conversation with officers and troops will be broadcast on Pakistan Television (PTV) this evening.
