A Unified Platform for Business Services

The establishment of the Model Business Facilitation Center was ordered by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in June 2024. The center will connect multiple federal agencies through an automated system to process and issue RLCOs (Required Licenses, Certificates, and Other approvals), all under one roof.

The center will serve as a centralized platform where entrepreneurs can easily access a wide range of services, eliminating delays and enhancing the overall ease of doing business in Pakistan. The key objectives of the BFC include:

  • Streamlining the processing and delivery of RLCO services.
  • Providing a unified hub for business services.
  • Improving inter-agency collaboration for seamless service delivery.
  • Ensuring transparency and accountability to foster trust among stakeholders.

Coverage of Multiple Ministries and Departments

The Islamabad Business Facilitation Center will handle the processing of 341 RLCOs from 22 ministries and 41 departments. To ensure the efficient delivery of services, each department will send experts to be stationed at the center, facilitating smooth service provision for businesses.

The BFC’s inauguration marks a significant step in improving the business environment in Pakistan by simplifying regulatory processes and enhancing coordination between federal agencies.
