PM Hosts Gala Dinner for Pakistan, South Africa Teams

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hosted a grand dinner at the PM House on Saturday in honour of the Pakistan and South Africa cricket teams.

Welcoming the visiting players, Shehbaz praised the strong relations between Pakistan and South Africa, saying cricket represents the friendship and respect shared by both nations. He called the ongoing series a reflection of their deep sporting ties and lauded South Africa for producing some of the world’s finest cricketers.

Commending the national team, the prime minister said Pakistani players continue to make the country proud through their performances. He expressed hope that the team would maintain its winning spirit and excellence in future matches.

Shehbaz also highlighted that cricket serves as a bridge between nations, promoting peace, unity, and brotherhood. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to fostering global sports and maintaining an environment suitable for hosting major international events.

The South African team’s management and players thanked the Pakistani government and fans for their hospitality, saying they had enjoyed a memorable experience and appreciated the warmth and enthusiasm shown by spectators throughout the series.

The dinner was attended by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, along with other officials and dignitaries.
