Pindiz reveal new head coach before PSL 11.

Pindiz, the Rawalpindi franchise set to debut in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), have unveiled a star-studded coaching lineup ahead of PSL 11. The franchise has appointed former South African all-rounder Justin Kemp as head coach, while West Indies fast-bowling legend Courtney Walsh will take charge as bowling coach.

In addition to these international names, Pindiz have also included prominent Pakistani figures in their management team. Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq will serve as the franchise’s president and mentor, bringing decades of experience and leadership to the side. Meanwhile, former Pakistan spinner Abdur Rehman has been assigned the role of strategy head, where he will focus on planning and tactical preparation.

Justin Kemp, known for his power-hitting and finishing ability during his playing days, has steadily built a solid reputation in the coaching world. After retiring from international cricket, he has worked with several domestic and franchise teams, focusing on player development, modern T20 tactics, and match strategy. His experience in the shorter format is expected to play a key role in shaping Pindiz’s approach in PSL 11.

Alongside Kemp, the inclusion of Courtney Walsh adds significant experience to the coaching staff. Walsh, one of the most respected fast bowlers in cricket history, brings a wealth of knowledge about pace bowling. His expertise is expected to strengthen the franchise’s bowling unit and provide valuable mentorship to young fast bowlers.

For Pindiz supporters, Walsh’s appointment is particularly exciting due to the team’s strong pace options. The opportunity for Pakistan’s leading fast bowlers, including Naseem Shah and Mohammad Amir, to learn directly from a legendary figure like Walsh could significantly enhance their skills, discipline, and match awareness.

PSL 11 will mark a historic expansion for the league as it introduces two new teams, increasing the competition to eight franchises. As one of the newcomers, Pindiz appear determined to make an immediate impact by assembling an experienced and dynamic coaching setup rather than taking a gradual approach in their first season.
