With its decision to resume service between Lahore and Skardu, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has made a laudable move that will provide travellers with a practical and accessible means of exploring the area’s natural splendour.
According to reports, Khawaja Saad Rafique, the aviation minister, issued the instructions that led to this decision. Rafique stressed the need of encouraging domestic tourism and improving connectivity within the nation.

Starting on June 3, PIA will start operating flights between Lahore and Skardu as part of the initial phase. Two flights per week will be arranged, departing on Wednesdays and Saturdays to provide travellers with flexibility.
This calculated effort intends to meet the rising demand for air travel to Skardu, which is renowned for its breathtaking scenery and tranquil environs.
