PIA To Reduce Paris Flights, Suspend Lahore-Paris Route Temporarily

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced changes to its flight operations involving Paris. The airline will reduce its services to Paris, including the suspension of the Lahore-Paris route.

According to sources, PIA will operate its last flight from Paris to Lahore on September 12. The final Lahore to Paris flight will depart on September 17. However, flights between Islamabad and Paris will continue without interruption.

PIA started Lahore-Paris flights on June 18, with twice-weekly services. This decision to suspend Lahore-Paris flights comes amid operational adjustments and fleet management challenges.

Currently, PIA has 12 Boeing 777 aircraft in its fleet. Of these, seven planes remain grounded, which has affected the airline’s capacity to maintain all routes. PIA’s spokesperson confirmed the changes but did not provide additional details.

The reduction in flights is part of a broader effort by PIA to optimize resources and focus on more viable routes. Islamabad’s Paris connection remains important for the airline and continues to serve passengers as usual.

Passengers booked on the Lahore-Paris route are advised to contact PIA for alternative arrangements and refunds if necessary. The airline has assured travelers that it will manage the transition smoothly.

PIA continues to face challenges balancing its operational costs and meeting passenger demand. The grounding of several aircraft has led to adjustments across various domestic and international routes.

This move reflects PIA’s ongoing efforts to improve efficiency and maintain service quality despite financial and logistical hurdles. Passengers are encouraged to stay updated through official PIA announcements regarding flight schedules.

Overall, PIA remains committed to serving international destinations while adapting to changing circumstances. The focus on the Islamabad-Paris route shows the airline’s intention to maintain key global connections.
