According to a PIA spokesperson, a passenger identified as Syed Javed’s condition deteriorated during the flight.
According to the spokesperson, the passenger’s low blood pressure and unconscious state required immediate medical attention, and the flight had to make an emergency landing at Oslo Airport.
Three doctors on board attempted to provide first aid to the passenger. However, based on their unanimous decision, a medical emergency was declared, and the flight’s captain made an emergency landing.
An ambulance was called next to the aircraft door, according to the spokesperson. The passenger was taken to the hospital after landing for full medical attention.

After the passenger was taken to the hospital, PIA flight PK-783 took off again from Oslo Airport to Toronto. The flight was delayed by four hours due to the emergency landing.
According to the spokesperson, the PIA flight from Toronto to Islamabad will now be delayed by 13 hours due to the night curfew.
Last month, PIA flight PK-860 from Saudi Arabia was diverted to Lahore at the eleventh hour, leaving 150 Umrah pilgrims stranded at Jeddah Airport.
The flight was originally scheduled to leave Jeddah for Karachi at 5:40 p.m. Saudi time. Passengers on the Jeddah-Karachi flight were given two options: adjust to the Lahore flight or wait for the next Karachi-bound flight.
The diversion was caused by unforeseen operational issues, according to a PIA spokesperson.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
