Petrol price increased by Rs 17.50 reaches historic high

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The caretaker government has announced a hike in petroleum product prices, bringing the cost of both gasoline and high-speed diesel to an all-time high.

According to a Finance Division statement of revised pricing, the price of petrol has increased by Rs. 17.50 per liter, while the price of high-speed diesel has climbed by Rs. 20 per liter.

According to a brief statement published by the Finance Division, petroleum prices in the international market have risen in the last two weeks, and as a result, consumer prices in Pakistan have been amended.

The new price of petrol after the rise will be Rs. 290.45 per liter, while the price of high-speed diesel would be Rs. 293.40 per liter.

The price of petrol was raised by Rs. 19.95 per liter in the last fortnightly review of petroleum pricing, the last review under the coalition administration, while the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) was raised by Rs. 19.90 per liter.

The increase, announced on August 1, increased the price of petrol to Rs. 272.95 a liter, while HSD increased to Rs. 273.40 per liter.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
