The Pakistani government has increased the petrol price by Rs1 per litre, setting the new rate at Rs253.63 for the first half of June 2025, according to a Finance Ministry notification. However, the price of high-speed diesel remains unchanged at Rs254.64 per litre.

This minor adjustment is expected to slightly raise transportation costs, impacting both commuters and businesses. In the previous review, petrol prices were held steady, while diesel saw a Rs2 per litre cut.

Authorities earlier stated that savings from lower global oil prices would be invested in national development projects instead of being passed directly to consumers. Further adjustments may follow, depending on global market trends.
