The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) plans to celebrate a decade of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with a documentary highlighting its journey from 2016 to 2025.
According to journalist Sohail Imran, the film will meet international standards and showcase defining moments, including the league’s launch in the UAE, the shift back to Pakistan, and the return of foreign stars. It will also cover the challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, which tested but strengthened the PSL’s reputation.
In just under 10 years, the PSL has evolved into one of the world’s top T20 leagues, credited with reviving international cricket in Pakistan and nurturing local talent. Experts believe the league has boosted Pakistan’s cricketing stature and reshaped its sporting image globally.
The PCB will soon invite proposals from leading production houses to produce the documentary, aiming to secure a world-renowned team for the project. The film will not only celebrate the PSL’s success but also reflect on Pakistan cricket’s progress over the past decade.
