PCB Launches Talent Hunt Trials For Different Age Categories Across Pakistan

Today, the Pakistan Cricket Board released information regarding trials for the U13, U16, and U19 age categories to select players for regional and Inter-District teams.

Those chosen in the U13 and U16 groups will be eligible to participate in regional tournaments during the 2023-24 season, while the U19 category selections will partake in the inter-district tournament for the 2024-25 season.

Eligibility criteria are as follows: players born on or after September 1, 2010, and before September 1, 2014, are eligible for U13 squads; those born on or after September 1, 2007, and before September 1, 2011, are eligible for U16 sides; and players born on or after September 1, 2005, and before September 1, 2009, are eligible for the U19 category.

All players must bring their B-forms to the trials, and selected players need to present their smart cards for age verification during wrist tests.

The tournaments will involve 16 regions, with the corresponding districts in brackets:

  1. Abbottabad Region (Abbottabad, Buneer, Dir Upper, Haripur, Mansehra, Mardan, and Swabi)
  2. AJK Region (Bagh, Kotli, Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, and Poonch)
  3. Bahawalpur Region (Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Layyah, Muzaffargarh, Pakpattan, Rahim Yar Khan, and Rajanpur)
  4. Faisalabad Region (Bhakkar, Faisalabad, Jhang, Kasur, Mianwali, and Sargodha)
  5. FATA Region (Bajour, Bannu, DI Khan, Khyber, Kohat, Kurram, Mohmand, North Waziristan, South Waziristan, and Tank)
  6. Hyderabad Region (Badin, Benazirabad, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, and Thatta)
  7. Islamabad Region (Central Zone, East Zone, Gilgit Baltistan, North Zone, and West Zone)
  8. Karachi Region (Zones I – VII)
  9. Lahore Region (East, North, and West Zones)
  10. Larkana Region (Dadu, Jacobabad, Khairpur, Larkana, Shikarpur, and Sukkur)
  11. Multan Region (DG Khan, Khanewal, Lodharan, Multan, Okara, Sahiwal, and Vehari)
  12. D.M. Jamali Region (Jaffarabad, Lasbela, Loralai, Naseerabad, and Sibi)
  13. Peshawar Region (Charsadda, Dir Lower, Nowshera, Peshawar, and Swat)
  14. Quetta Region (Chaghi, Gwadar, Kalat, Khuzdar, Killa Abdullah, Noshki, Panjgur, Pishin, Quetta, and Turbat)
  15. Rawalpindi Region (Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and Rawalpindi)
  16. Sialkot Region (Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Narowal, Sheikhupura, and Sialkot)
