The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has rejected former women’s captain Sana Mir’s recent social media remarks about the domestic cricket calendar. The PCB called her comments “factually inaccurate.”

Sana Mir criticized the scheduling of the National Women’s 50-over Tournament, claiming it overlaps with the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. She questioned why the domestic event was planned during the World Cup period.

Responding, the PCB clarified that the domestic tournament will take place after the World Cup ends. The event is scheduled in Karachi from November 10 to 23, 2025, well after the World Cup finishes on November 2.

A senior PCB Women’s Wing official stated the domestic tournament will start the new season for Pakistan’s women cricketers. The Board urged Mir to confirm facts before posting public critiques.

The PCB also highlighted their commitment to player welfare, pointing out that from July to November, the women’s team will have training camps, international series, and the World Cup. This schedule ensures players are well-prepared and rested.

Pakistan’s women’s squad is currently in a 25-day training camp in Karachi, preparing with fitness sessions and practice matches. The team recently played a T20 series in Ireland and is set to face South Africa in ODIs starting August 25 in Lahore.

The PCB emphasized that Pakistan remained unbeaten during the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier in April. The Board continues to support players with structured training and competitive domestic tournaments.

In conclusion, the PCB firmly denied Sana Mir’s claims, reinforcing that the domestic tournament does not clash with the World Cup and is part of a well-planned cricket calendar.
