In a significant update, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has addressed the public for the first time since the announcement that the remaining matches of PSL Season 10 will now be held in the UAE instead of Pakistan. Originally scheduled for Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Multan, the final eight matches were relocated due to rising tensions with India.

The move follows a drone incident near Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, where a PSL match was set to take place. The PCB believes it was a deliberate attempt to disrupt the tournament.

Naqvi condemned the incident, stating that while the PCB believes politics should not interfere with sports, the targeted aggression near the stadium posed a serious threat. He emphasized the board’s duty to protect all players—local and international—and ensure their mental and physical safety.

He said the PCB, as a responsible body, chose relocation to preserve the tournament’s integrity and safeguard participants amid increasing security risks.

The board will soon announce the revised PSL schedule, including new venues and timings in the UAE.

Although fans in Pakistan may be disappointed, the PCB remains committed to continuing the league and uniting people through cricket, even in challenging times.
