PCB Chairman And Sarfaraz Ahmed Fiscuss Pakistan Cricket's Future

Zaka Ashraf, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee, held a meeting with former Pakistan cricket captain Sarfaraz Ahmed in Lahore. During the meeting, they discussed the future of domestic cricket and the Pakistan national team.

The Pakistan national cricket team has faced disappointment in the ongoing World Cup 2023, winning two matches and losing three out of their first five games. Currently, they are engaged in a crucial match against South Africa, which is seen as a do-or-die encounter in the tournament.

This meeting took place shortly after Karachi Whites secured the Quaid e Azam Trophy title by defeating Faisalabad in the final match, with Sarfaraz Ahmed as their captain. Karachi Whites secured their fifth Quaid-e-Azam Trophy title with a convincing victory margin of 456 runs on the last day of the five-day final held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

The final wicket of Faheem Ashraf, who was the captain of Faisalabad, was taken by Ghulam Mudassar, leading to jubilant celebrations among the team captained by Sarfaraz Ahmed. Sarfaraz was also awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10 million for his leadership.

Saim Ayub of Karachi Whites received the Player of the Final match award for his exceptional performance, scoring 203 runs in the first innings and adding 109 runs in the second innings. Sarfaraz Ahmed, who led the winning team and contributed 697 runs while recording 28 dismissals, was honored with the Player of the Tournament title.
