Pakistan’s Limited Presence in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Trailer Raises Questions

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Something is wrong with the new ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 video. For starters, Pakistan is hardly in it, and there’s no sign of Babar Azam.

We’re ranked second in the ICC’s own ODI rankings, so many are understandably perplexed as to why we’ve been almost removed from the video. The video heavily favours India, giving the impression that they have won the previous three titles.

Apart from England and Australia, no one else got much screen time.

Pakistan’s only portrayal was of them losing, which was odd.

The most visible deletion was of Babar Azam.

We understand that the advertisement was created by the host country, India, but it’s somewhat humiliating. Erasing Pakistan from a video will not prevent our squad from excelling and, perhaps, winning the championship.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
