Pakistan’s IT industry has achieved a new milestone, with local mobile application developers earning global recognition for their exceptional performance in 2024.
According to an official report, Pakistani developers launched 1,053 mobile applications last year, marking an impressive achievement for the country’s fast-growing digital economy. Of these, 764 apps were created for Android, while 289 were launched on iOS platforms, reflecting a balanced technological advancement across both major ecosystems.
This rapid progress highlights the nation’s increasing technological capability and the expanding opportunities within Pakistan’s IT sector. The consistent rise in mobile app development is not only boosting digital exports but also empowering young entrepreneurs and freelancers across the country.
Amid these digital advancements, authorities in Sindh have also decided to crack down on quack doctors, reinforcing the government’s broader commitment to quality, regulation, and professional standards across all sectors.
Industry analysts believe that Pakistan’s young, tech-driven population and expanding startup ecosystem have played a crucial role in achieving this milestone. The IT sector continues to be one of Pakistan’s strongest contributors to export revenue, with further growth expected in 2025.
As Pakistan pushes forward with its Digital Pakistan vision, experts emphasize that sustained investment in technology education and infrastructure will be essential to maintaining global competitiveness.
