Pakistan's Hajj Application Process To Begin Tomorrow

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The Ministry of Religious Affairs has declared that, starting tomorrow, November 27, banks nationwide will begin accepting applications for the government’s Hajj scheme. Prospective pilgrims have until December 12 to apply for the sacred journey. In a groundbreaking move, this year’s Hajj pilgrimage signifies a notable step towards gender inclusivity. For the first time, women can undertake the journey independently, marking a progressive shift.

To address a potential surge in applications, the Ministry plans a fair lottery system if the number exceeds the allocated quota, ensuring transparency. A special quota of 25,000 under the sponsorship scheme offers an alternative avenue for aspiring pilgrims. To internationalize the pilgrimage, overseas applicants must submit applications with dollars, catering to the diverse range of Pakistani nationals globally.

Prioritizing familial ties, the Ministry exempts applicants and their dependents from the lottery, fostering unity during the sacred journey. Facilitating the process, 15 banks are enlisted for smoother transactions. While the official deadline is December 12, 2023, a grace period until December 2024 is extended for valid ID card holders.

As the nation anticipates the lottery outcome and successful applicants’ announcement, the annual Hajj pilgrimage remains a cherished tradition. The Ministry’s strategic measures and inclusive changes aim to enhance the experience for all participants, fostering unity and devotion among the diverse pool of pilgrims.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
