The introduction of this advanced system signifies a significant step towards modernizing elections in Pakistan. To familiarize officials with the EMS, the ECP conducted a two-day training program for IT officers, the Project Management Unit, and the Election Wing. This training equipped participants with the necessary knowledge to effectively utilize the EMS, ensuring efficient and secure elections.

Additionally, the ECP has extended the deadline for voter registration, data correction, vote transfer, and exclusion until July 20, facilitating easier access for individuals to register and update their voter information. Information regarding voter status can be obtained by sending one’s identity card number to 8300, while necessary forms for registration, objection/exclusion, data correction, and vote transfer are available on the ECP’s website or at the District Election Commissioner’s office.

With 125,963,598 registered voters in Pakistan, as per the electoral rolls released in May, the introduction of the EMS is seen as a positive development to address gender gaps and ensure fair, transparent, and inclusive elections. The ECP’s proactive measures in promoting awareness and facilitating voter registration contribute to its commitment to conducting a successful election with the aid of the new EMS.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
