Pakistan's Army Chief Talks Defense, Cooperation With Saudi Prince

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Pakistan’s Army Chief General Asim Munir met with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two countries, according to a statement from the military’s media wing released on Wednesday.

During his official visit to Saudi Arabia, General Asim Munir is engaged in important discussions with key officials.

In a statement, the ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relations) mentioned that General Asim Munir and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed various topics including regional peace and security, as well as bilateral defense and security cooperation.

In addition to meeting with the Crown Prince, General Asim also held discussions with Saudi Arabia’s Defense Minister HRH Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, General Fayyadh Bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, and Engineer Talal Abdullah Al Otaibi, Assistant Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, along with other senior military leaders.

During these discussions, the Saudi Prince emphasized the strong and historic brotherly relations between Riyadh and Islamabad, highlighting that both countries have consistently supported each other. He also expressed the Kingdom’s desire to further enhance bilateral ties and reiterated Saudi Arabia’s unwavering support for Pakistan in the future.

In response, General Asim expressed gratitude to the Saudi leadership for their warm sentiments and support towards Pakistan.
