Pakistan has once again ranked near the bottom of the global passport standings, placing 195th out of 199 in the Nomad Passport Index 2025.
The Nomad Passport Index, compiled by Nomad Capitalist, evaluates passports based on factors such as visa-free access, taxation, global perception, dual citizenship, and personal freedom. Despite some improvements, Pakistan’s low score reflects limited global mobility, restricted dual citizenship options, and a poor international reputation. Only four countries — Iraq, Eritrea, Yemen, and Afghanistan — ranked lower.

Countries like Singapore and Japan, often high in visa-free rankings, scored lower in this index due to strict dual citizenship rules and limitations on personal freedoms.
