Dubai-based Pakistani expat Irshad Gull has won Dh50,000 in the UAE lottery through the popular Big Ticket draw, marking a joyful moment after years of patience and hope. Gull, who works at a desert safari tourism company, has been living in Dubai for the past 23 years. Like many expatriates, he regularly participated in the UAE lottery with the dream of winning one day.
For nearly a decade, Gull consistently bought lottery tickets along with a group of friends. Their persistence finally paid off when he received a call confirming his win. Speaking about the moment, Gull said he felt extremely happy and relieved, as winning after almost ten years made the success even more special. He described the prize as a reward for long-term commitment and faith.
Gull also shared that the winnings would not be kept by him alone. Since the ticket was purchased as part of a group, he plans to divide his share of the cash prize among his fellow group members. Celebrating the win together made the experience even more meaningful for him and his friends.
The January e-weekly Big Ticket UAE lottery draw featured several other winners as well, highlighting the diverse expat community in the country. Alongside Irshad Gull, winners from Bangladesh and India were also announced. Rafiqul Islam, Shafik Paika Mohammed, Mohammed Ali Riyas, and Gull each won Dh50,000 in the second draw of the month.
The Big Ticket UAE lottery continues to attract participants from different nationalities, offering life-changing prizes and moments of happiness. Stories like Gull’s reflect the hopes of many expatriates who take part in the lottery, believing that persistence and luck can one day turn their dreams into reality.
