LAHORE – Former Pakistan women’s cricket team captain Nida Dar has announced that she is taking a break from the sport due to mental health concerns.

In a heartfelt post on social media, Dar explained, “A lot of things have happened recently, both personally and professionally, which have affected my mental health. For this reason, I am stepping away from cricket for a while to focus on myself.”

It’s important to note that Dar had been called up for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier camp, where she underwent a fitness test. However, she was not selected for the team following the assessment.
