Comedian Majid Jahangir well known for sitcom fifty-fifty passed away

Veteran comedian and actor Majid Jahangir, widely known for the sitcom “Fifty Fifty,” died yesterday in Lahore, according to his family.

The ‘Fifty Fifty’ veteran passed away early on Wednesday following a protracted illness, according to his son Fahad Majid. In Karachi, he will be buried.

It is important to note that the actor spent a significant amount of time battling a respiratory condition. According to his family, Jahangir was admitted to the hospital a month ago after hurting himself when he slipped out of bed. In the accident, the comic also fractured his spine.

Majid Jahangir, who rose to popularity for his role in the well-known comedy series, experienced partial paralysis a few years ago and was subsequently admitted to an intensive care unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Lahore.

Majid Jahangir had a lengthy career spanning several decades. He spent more than 22 years working for Pakistan Television Network and appeared in a few movies. For his extensive involvement in the sitcom, the veteran performer received the Presidential Pride of Performance award in the 1980s.

A few years ago, he was also given the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz honour.
