After torturing two robbers, locals in North Karachi burn them to death.

KARACHI: Two alleged street criminals were burned to death by locals in Sector L1 of North Karachi on Friday after stealing property from a household. According to rescue sources, the two men were tormented by the villagers before being burned alive. They stated that the two males passed away instantly and that their remains were sent to a local hospital.

According to SSP Central Maroof Usman, the police arrived to the scene as soon as they learned about the event. Muhammad Imran and Nadir Hussain have been named as the two alleged street criminals.

Imran and Nadir both had criminal histories, the police reported. According to the police, Imran was identified in a case in District West while Nadir Hussain was arrested in numerous cases in Districts Korangi, Malir, and Central.

Police told the media that the two thieves were attempting to flee after stealing goods from a local man named Jibran. Jibran yelled as the robbers attempted to exit the sites, according to the police. The men were caught by shop owners close to a rickshaw stand.

The robbers tried to use their firearm but the bullet got stuck. The citizens burnt the accused after torture and brought their bodies to the main road. Weapons, mobile phones and a motorcycle were recovered from them, the police said.
