This initiative follows the Punjab government’s approval of the IT City project earlier this year in March. The ambitious project, covering 853 acres (equivalent to 6,824 kanals), is strategically located near PKLI in Lahore and is set to become a major hub for technological innovation and education in the region.

Additionally, CM Maryam Nawaz unveiled an extensive scholarship program with a budget of Rs. 25 billion. This initiative is designed to provide talented students with access to education at some of the country’s most prestigious institutions, including LUMS, IBA, COMSATS, and FAST.

The Chief Minister highlighted the program’s potential to significantly reduce youth unemployment by equipping students with essential IT skills. She expressed confidence that graduates of this initiative will find jobs quickly, avoiding prolonged job searches.
