Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has ordered authorities to block the passports of Pakistani nationals deported from abroad.
During his visit to the Directorate of Immigration and Passports, he instructed officials to swiftly finalize legal procedures tied to the new passport issuance conditions. Naqvi explained that the updated rules aim to prevent beggars from traveling overseas and to tackle illegal immigration more effectively.

He also reviewed the newly installed six Machine Readable Passport (MRP) and two e-passport machines, expressing confidence that the additions would improve the department’s efficiency.
While meeting with the German team overseeing the machine installation, Naqvi noted the upgrades would boost the passport office’s operational capacity.
Director General of Passports, Mustafa Jamal Qazi, informed the minister that a mobile application will soon be launched to simplify services for the public.
