Pakistan To Reduce Petrol Prices Again From May 31

Pakistan’s federal government is set to announce a significant reduction in petrol prices, marking the third consecutive decrease, effective June 1, 2024.

According to reports, the ongoing crisis in the Middle East has led to a substantial drop in international petrol prices, resulting in an anticipated Rs4 per litre decrease. Diesel prices are also expected to see a notable reduction of Rs3.5 per litre.

The revised tariffs for petroleum products, which will shape the fuel prices for the first half of June, are scheduled to be unveiled on May 31. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will make the final decision on petrol prices in Pakistan, taking into account the recommendations provided by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra).

Current Petrol Prices in Pakistan:

Petrol: Rs273.10 per litre
High-speed diesel: Rs274.08 per litre

Anticipated Petrol Prices from May 31:

Petrol: Rs269.10 per litre
High-speed diesel: Rs270.58 per litre
