This follows the recent launch of Pakistan’s iCUBE-Qamar (ICUBE Q) satellite aboard China’s Chang’e-6 lunar mission earlier this month. The successful insertion of ICUBE Q into the moon’s orbit on May 8 marked a major achievement in Pakistan’s space exploration endeavors, with the satellite promptly commencing transmission of initial lunar orbit images.

The Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) is set to launch the PAKSAT MM1 communication satellite with Chinese support on May 30. Suparco emphasized that PAKSAT MM1 was crafted to address Pakistan’s escalating communication and connectivity requirements, anticipating a vital role in the nation’s socio-economic advancement due to its advanced communication technologies.

Furthermore, Suparco underscored the satellite’s significance in Pakistan’s transition to a “digital Pakistan.” The launch event will be broadcast live from Suparco’s Islamabad and Karachi offices.

Established in 1961, Suparco oversees Pakistan’s space program, enhancing the country’s capabilities in satellite communications, remote sensing, and meteorological science.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
